Tennis Racquet Stringing
Kansas City Northland

Belle's Performance Tennis Shop - Kansas City, MO 64155 - Professional Racquet Stringing

Northland players shouldn’t have to ship a racquet, drive south of the river, or leave it at a big-box counter. Drop off by appointment at a Northland QuikTrip. Most racquets are ready in 2–3 days, with next-day and same-day options when available. Strings are included, and your setup is logged for next time.

When Isabelle joined the Staley High School tennis team, I started looking for someone to string her racquet in the Northland. The options weren't great. So I became a USRSA member, bought a Gamma Progression II ELS electronic stringing machine, and opened Belle's.

Common Questions - Answered

Everything you need to know before drop-off

How does the appointment/drop-off process work?

Booking is simple. When you schedule your appointment, you will choose a pickup/drop-off location from a list of convenient QuikTrip locations in the Northland.

During booking, you will also enter your contact info and answer a few quick questions about your racquet, string needs, and timing. This helps me prepare before we meet.

At your scheduled drop-off time, we meet at the location you selected, I confirm your racquet details and service request, and then I take your racquet for service. Once your racquet is finished, I will contact you to arrange pickup at a convenient location.

This is a service-area pickup/drop-off model (not an in-home storefront), which makes the process simple, flexible, and convenient for local players.

If you are not sure what string or tension you need, that is no problem. I can help you choose based on your racquet, playing level, and goals.

How do I pay?

When your racquet is ready, we'll send you an invoice you can pay online. We accept all major credit cards. No deposits required.

Why not just use a big box store or my club?

Big-box stores and clubs may be convenient, but they usually are not built around Northland drop-off, setup history, and repeat restrings. At Belle’s, your string, tension, and racquet notes are saved, and I string every racquet myself.

What if my strings break mid-season?

We offer same-day and next-day service when available, and you can borrow a demo racquet while yours is being strung so you never miss a match.

How do I know the tension will be right?

We record your setup every time. So whether it's your first restring with us or your tenth, your racquet comes back feeling the way you expect — not however the last person happened to string it.

What if my racquet gets damaged during stringing?

Every racquet is inspected before stringing. If I notice a crack, worn grommet, or other visible issue, I’ll contact you before proceeding. Racquets with pre-existing stress fractures can fail during stringing, so those are flagged before work continues.

How often should I be restringing?

A good rule of thumb: as many times per year as you play per week. Play three times a week? Restring three times a year. Most players are playing on dead strings without realizing it — and wondering why their game feels off.
